Position: Mechanical Technician –First Shift

The type of individual that we are looking for that will excel at ULB is:

Somebody who has worked in a role as a Mechanic OR a Machine Builder or In Equipment Maintenance might be a good fit.

Individuals who come from small to mid size organization will be usually better fit culture wise. Typically the smaller the org – employees are more the jack of all trades which is important for this role.

Individual needs to be HANDS ON. Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.

Looking for a person that is likely to repair his own car\motorcycle on his own. Looking for a guy that will try to repair his water heater before calling a company. Looking for the guy that will finish his basement on his own – putting up drywall, the simpler and more manual work doing themselves.

• Assembling mechanical components and subassemblies according to markups and drawings.
• Fitting and aligning parts to ensure proper function and tolerances.
• Installing major components like motors, subassemblies, trailers.
• Using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for assembly and installation.
• Identifying and addressing any defects or issues during the assembly process.

This position requires good hand and eye coordination along with excellent manual dexterity for precision alignment. In this position, one will require to handle small parts and also require strength to lift heavy things. An ability to track fine details visually and discover defects in the inspected parts is another important quality that will be helpful. Ability to read and comprehend schematic engineering drawings and blueprints and ability to learn and master new assembly skills along with strong communication skills is equally important. Ability to Retain Verbale Instructions. Individuals must be flexible and able to shift tasks based on priorities. Priorities change often.
